Hello! We are researchers and educators working on a project – the International Collaboration on Undergraduate Psychology Outcomes – to develop a model for undergraduate psychology curricula, setting out core competences that students could be expected to develop in the course of their program of study. (Competences are sometimes called learning outcomes.)
If you are teaching in a psychology program at a university, then we invite you to participate in this research. We will ask you about your students’ views on undergraduate psychology education. We will also ask you about the competences developed as part of your program, through reflecting on the model we have developed.
We will ask you to provide feedback through an anonymous online survey.
• Participants will be asked questions about their views on current and proposed competences
• The survey will take approximately 15-30 minutes to complete
• Responses will be completely anonymous
The aim of this research is to understand educators’ views on undergraduate psychology competences, and to inform the development and/or implementation of the model.
The study is conducted by:
Drs. Susan Nolan and Fanli Jia, Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey, USA
